Short Mat Finals

Short Mat Finals Weekend 6th & 7th April 2024

The Short Mat Finals weekend was the culmination of many months of preliminary rounds played. The event started at 10;00 on Saturday 6th April with a Mixed Triples. The next game was Mixed Pairs then a new format for Short Mat Australian Pairs.

Sunday 7th April saw the Select Pairs final  then in the afternoon, the Ladies Singles and then to end the season the Gentlemen's Singles. The whole weekend was well attended by a appreciative audience of members who witnessed some outstanding bowling.

The results as follows 

Mixed Triples - Winners - Sue Jolley-Jackie Pracy-Steve Harvey

Runners up - Nova Bickmore-Wendy Beasley-Geoff Tanner

Mixed Pairs - Winner - Gerry Bird - Ally Albon

Runners Up - Wendy Beasley - Brian Owen.

Australian Pairs - Winners - Reg Beasley - Pauline Douglass

Runners Up - Sue Jolley - Steve Harvey.

Select Pairs - Winners - John Bicheno - Dave Hales

Runners Up - Pat Grosvenor - Dave Hall

Ladies Singles Winners - Jackie Pracy

Gentlemens Singles - Winners - Geoff Tanner.

Wednesday 10th April saw the Prize Giving Buffet. Thanks go to all members who contributed to make the day and who made sandwiches, cakes etc. Also throughout the season members attended the many events we put on which were most enjoyable.
